About Susie Zhao
Susie Zhao has been a registered nurse for 19 years, including her overseas work experience. She migrated to Australia 14 years ago. Prior to moving to Melbourne, she worked as a clinical educator in ICU at a metropolitan hospital in Shanghai, China.
In 2016, she developed a strong interest in diabetes management and subsequently pursued further studies in diabetes education. She has worked as a credentialed diabetes educator at several major hospitals in Melbourne, including Western Health (Sunshine Hospital and Footscray Hospital), The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Women’s Hospital, and Werribee Mercy Hospital.
In 2024, she completed the Master’s of Nurse Practitioner course. During her master’s studies, she developed an interest in diabetes research. She has a strong interest in all aspects of diabetes technology and is amazed by how rapidly it develops and the positive influence it has on diabetes management. She is currently awaiting endorsement to become a Nurse Practitioner.
She is excited to be part of Epping Medical and Wellness Hub, where the team work together with a determination to improve the lives of people with diabetes through the innovative development of diabetes technology.
